Valentine's Party

Joshua was so excited, he hardly slept the night before. He was excited about his Valentine's party and dance that his friend and him were going to do for the parents.

They did a dance from the Wiggles....

"Do the elephant... Eeeeee"
"Do the monkey.. Oh Uh Eh Oh"
"Do the Tiger.... Roar"

"Now jump to the front and back!"

"Jump to the front and back!!"

He had fun and got lots of Valentine's from his friends.

Happy Cupid Day!!

Valentine Present

John is out to sea for Valentine's day, but we still wanted to surprise little man with something special.

No candy.. because.. well.. he doesn't need any. He is still on steroid's for his ears and that hypes him up enough for this mama.

We did get him a few small things.. a bubble blower (because those things seems to break after the 5th use).... a frying pan full of food that he can use on his outside BBQ pit.... and a Pony... yes I know its girly, but he has been begging us for one. I tried to find a blue one, but had to settle for the orange'ish yellow one instead. When he saw the pony.. he even told me..."Mom! I wanted the boy pony's!!"

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!

PS. I did get a great Valentine's gift.. flowers and a trip to the Coach store which yielded me 3 coach purses, a clutch and some bag scarfs. I also got a pair of Oakley sunglasses. John got a new hard drive that he has been wanting.

Gift From Friends

Valentine's Day is truly here.. with full force and lots of presents...

We are truly blessed and truly loved with lots of friends.

Today, my mom brought over a present from some of our good friends, Lilly and Olivia.

He was excited to get candy and some new trashies!
So thank you Lilly and Olivia.. you made his day extra special.

Valentine Card

Today, Joshua received a card in the mail and was super excited to open it.

It was a Card from Granna and Papa!

Thank you Granna and Papa.. he loves you too!!

Valentine's For School

Getting ready for Joshua's Valentine party at school, we put a bunch of goodies together for his class today. Granna had already put together the goody bags, but we added the tags. Joshua picked out which Spiderman Valentines he wanted to give his friends and he picked out what animal sucker he wanted to give each one of his friends.

Then, this year the theme of their party was healthy snacks... so Joshua was signed up to bring pretzels.

He is so excited for his friends to see all the goodies he got for them.

The Birdhouse

For Valentine's Day, Joshua got a do it yourself bird house from Granna and Papa. He was in creative heaven. He loves to color and paint, so this was right up his alley and he could not wait to get home and paint.

He spent almost a hour painting the house.. took a break.. and then spent another hour painting.

He was so proud of his finished product and couldn't wait to hang it up. Now we have to check almost every day to see if a bird has made a home inside.

See how beautiful it is.. I believe he did a wonderful job. I honestly love how raw and colorful it is.

It's wild and full of color... just like Joshua.

Thank you Granna and Papa.. it was the perfect gift!!

Early Valentine's Present

Valentine's Day is just around the corner, so when we visited the ranch this weekend, Uncle Ryan decided to give Joshua his first Valentine's gift of the year.

Joshua was of course tickled to death and loved all the surprises that Uncle Ryan and Aunt Mandi gave him... his favorite.. the bubblegum phone machine and the Spiderman glove and goo.

Bubblegum is probably one of the most favorite things in the world. He loves to steal bubblegum from Papa...  If we go to the restaurant and he gets a quarter, he will always get the bubblegum before he gets anything else. So this little machine was the perfect gift for a bubblegum loving boy!

And the Spiderman glove with the spider shooter....

Get your spiderman hand signal ready. Go go Spiderman!!

So. Much. Fun.

Seriously, this was the best gift ever. We were just so sad that the silly string didn't last for very long. We had about 5 minutes of great fun until it ran out. I am going to have to find some more bottles of this stuff though. We had a blast!!

Thank you Uncle Ryan and Aunt Mandi!! We love you!!

Color Of My Life

"Family is the color of my life.. without them I am blind."

So today... we colored.. like we have never colored before. We sat on the front lawn and talked about Valentine's day coming up and what it means to us. I tried to teach him that it's not about the candy or the present he may get, but it's about showing each other how much we love and appreciate each other.

I tried to teach him that we have lots of love in our hearts and that we can share it with lots of people. That we can love and care for lots of different people in different ways. How amazing it is to have so many good people, friends and family in our lives.

His response?  "Well today I love Daddy. Tomorrow I can love you."

Ok then....

I suppose I will share his love with Daddy.... I can wait my turn.... I mean.. who can resist those big brown eyes?? So Handsome!

We have been trying to teach him how to ride a big bike.. but he's been determined to stick to his tricycle where his knees hit the handle bars.... and he looks goofy..... but he is secure. Secure in his abilities to peddle around the block without any help.

His bicycle? He has no interest... until today. Probably because his daddy begged him to be a big boy and ride it. His dad wanted him to take the next step... so he did. He tried to ride the big boy bike.

He smiled.. he took off.. he drove kinda crazy and had trouble peddling.. but he learned slowly.

And that timer on the back of the bike?  No idea. But if he was going to cycle.. so was it.

So go out there and color your life today... spend time with family.. you never know what beautiful things are in store for you.

Have a colorful day!

The Pre-Valentine's Day

So, the big box came in the mail. The two year old saw it. The two year old wanted to know what was inside.... seriously... he could be Curious Joshua instead of Curious George. So.. what do Mommy and Daddy do? We made him wait only a day... haha. We couldn't wait either.. we were excited for this... his Valentine's gift from the both of us.

What is it? ...he asks as he opens it...

Me: Bath colors!

Joshua: Umm.. ok.

Me: You want to go take a bath and play with them?

Joshua: Yes I do Mom.

The coloring caddy.

His beautiful artwork.. with a little of Mommy's help.

So I really think I was more excited than he was about these. They are way cool and way fun. I just hope this doesn't encourage him to draw on the walls anywhere else in the house... otherwise.. Daddy will not be happy with Mommy or Joshua. haha. Oh well.
