Playing Dress Up

Hudson and Joshua decided to play dress up.. only everything is made for people Joshua size.

So Hudson looked like this......

A little short, and a little tight....

Buzz ready for action in his shrinking suit!!

As Spiderman takes his wings away....

it was a battle of the good guys.... and a ton of fun!!

The Kids Make Dinner

Some of our family from Grand Saline came down to visit for the Thanksgiving holiday. My niece and nephew are so adorable, and we enjoy all the time we spend with them. Tonight I decided that it was mothers night in.. so the kids would cook for us.

They rolled out the dough to make pizza.

Had a little bit of a sauce war with spoons.

Then had a little tackle session.. 2 against 1.. not fair!

Cheesy goodness!!

Seriously... best pizza ever!! These kids did a great job... even better than if we ordered it in ourselves and only a fraction of the cost. The most important part though... the kids had fun!

Greetings From Granna

Joshua got some mail today.. from his Granna.

He loves mail and was so excited to open it up... he giggled the whole time.

He was saying.. "oh yea.. a birdie!"...

"Woahhhh! Look at the pipopatums!" ...haha I love the things he says!

Thank you Granna! We love you very much!!

Giving Thanks At School

Today was Joshua Thanksgiving party at school. He was all smiles as I arrived to sit down with him.

The children got to pick whether they wanted to wear a pilgrim hat or a Indian hat.

Joshua said he wanted to be a "pildian".. half Pilgrim.. half Indian..   only my child..

Granna was on her way home from the hospital. (She finally got one drain out). So her and Grandpa stopped by to join in the celebration.  Joshua kept telling his friends that the party was for him.... and he even thanked them for coming to his party. It was cute...  I explained to him over and over what the party was for, but he still insisted that the party was in celebration of him.

The teachers made place mats that the children could bring home and this is what Joshua's said....

He is ready to go on our Disney cruise... only a year left!! haha..

Banana Pudding Milk Shake

One of my favorite bloggers, Amber, at Airing My Dirty Laundry, One Sock At A Time is having a Chick Fil A give away here. Check her out and enter the contest.. she is a great writer and has a hilarious blog.

After entering her contest, I remember the Chick Fil A Milkshakes that we had there a few months ago, Banana Pudding.  They were so yummy and tasted like some southern goodness. Comfort food.

So I decided to look on the Internet for a recipe and found this...

  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoons banana cream instant pudding mix
  • 1 cup Homestyle, Slow Churned Vanilla Ice Cream
  • 4-6 vanilla wafers, crushed
  • diced banana (optional)
  • Cool Whip (optional)
  • Cherry (optional)

Recipe Source: Divas Can Cook

I changed a few of her things because I cannot do soy milk.. so I used regular.

and I ONLY use Blue Bell Ice cream... but I am sure any will do.

Yummy! Almost as perfect as Chick Fil A... and I just saved almost $3!!

Meet Charlie

Meet Charlie.. our Elf on the shelf....
(we will talk about him more in December)

Meet Joshua.. the mischievous little kid that lives here...

This the book that is suppose to teach your children about how Santa knows if your naughty or nice.

The book tells the tale of a elf that lives in your house and watches what you do all day long. Then, every night he leaves and reports to Santa if you were good or bad. This is how Santa knows everything.

There comes a part in the book that teaches how you must not ever touch the elf, or he will lose his magic..

See the rule.. it's written in stone, or at least.. on paper..

Then of course.. our child is the possibly the only child in the world that notices this...

Look closer...

Yes.. Joshua gasps... "Oh no, look his elf lost magic because he touched him!!!"
"What is he going to do now mama? His elf has no magic because he touched him!"

ummm??

"Let's read another book."

The End.

Kid For Sale

So, for extra holiday cash, we decided to ebay a few items we have laying around the house that are not needed or used anymore.

They have been sitting in our play room for a month and Joshua has not had any interest.. until now.

He wanted to take pictures with the stuff I am selling.

Do you think the kid will help me sell the stuff easier? He is cute!!

Or.. Someone may think I am actually selling the kid. .. You never know..

Some days I would sell him to you...
But then I would miss him too much because he is our world!

And just to be clear.. I took pictures of the items by themselves after he left the room... so he is not on ebay.

I love this little man too much to sell him...   plus.. as my husband always says... let them take him.. they will return him in a day.
