3. Lose 40lbs. - I lost 30. Gained 20. Lost 15 more.  ummm... I am still trying. I have gone down almost 2 dress sizes.. ok 1 size.. but with the help of spanx... 2 dress sizes!.. haha..

John:
1. Go to Church more. - We are still working on this. Since we live in a town that neither of us grew up in.. we are still trying to find a church home. The one we have been going to is ok.. I love the preacher, but I just don't feel the love.. ya know?

Joshua:
1. Listen to Mommy and Daddy. - ummm... hahahahahahaha.. all I can do is laugh.
2. He "might" pick up more toys. haha. - he IS getting better about this one. He will pick them up if you help him, or if you threaten to throw them all away. ..... I am a mean mommy.

Not too bad. Can't wait to make new ones!

Top 11 Moments of 2011

Here are my top memories/moments of 2011.

11. The Anniversary Gift

Getting my new camera was very memorable for me. It was something I didn't think I would get for a long time, but my husband made it happen for me. I love him!!

10. The Cowpoke Room

I grew up on a Ranch in a small town, so this was a no brainer. His nursery was John Deere, but I was tired of that, so I threw some cowboy stuff in there to make the room different without breaking the bank.

9. The Engagement

Finally!! They are getting married. I have never had a sister.. unless you count the time Ryan dressed up for the Miss ECC pageant, but he didn't make a pretty girl.  It will be nice to have a sister to share with.

8. Days on the Ranch

Love this! I never knew how lucky I was to grow up on a working ranch, until I had a child of my own. I would never trade the small town life again. I cannot wait until we sell our house to move back.

7. Christmas 2011

It was a great Christmas. Quiet. Cozy. Just what the doctor ordered after the last few months of dealing with cancer.

6. Joshua's First Movie

At first I just wanted to scream, "Sit still and stop talking!!" .. but as I look back. It was real. It was fun. It was real fun and I will never ever forget his first trip to the movies.

5. Going to the Beach

The town I grew up in is only 20 minutes from the beach. Now, we live on the bay and the beach is a 45 minute drive.. but still.. worth the drive. Joshua is a water baby, just like his mama!!

4. Fredericksburg, Texas
Our annual family trip was great as usual. I only wish it hadn't been raining. There was so much on my to do list that we missed.. oh well, there is always next year!!

3. Joshua Turns 3

I can't believe three years have pass. Where did my baby boy go??

Santa Was Here

Santa was here!!! I must warn you, there are lot of pictures here, because we had a wonderful Christmas. It went by way too fast and I wish we could do it all over again. I just didn't feel like it was Christmas, but then again... 70 degree weather just doesn't constitute that Christmas feeling.

Proof that Santa was here.

So many presents they wouldn't all fit under the tree!!

Ok, so I must tell you that when Joshua woke up, he had wet himself. I have no idea why this is happening again. He did so great for a month, but now it seems that every other night he is wetting himself. Mama is going to have to put down the law and not allow drinks after 6pm.

Anyways, when he wakes up wet, his favorite thing to do is take a warm bath.. so before any of the Santa gifts were viewed... into the bath he went. Luckily I had some back up Santa pajamas.. so that is why he is not wearing his "Santa's Helper" anymore.

We went outside to survey the proof that reindeer actually do exist.. and we found this...

The reindeer accidently knocked over Frosty in order to get to their food, which they had eaten all of and only left a few crumbs.

Garfield loved his new toys from Santa. We had not seen him play this much in a long time!!

My bracelet.

Mom's Necklace.

As usual I was the photographer and there were more pics of me, but they just weren't great since my husband is not a photographer.. believe me.. you didn't want to see me in all my makeupless, hair mess glory, pajama glory. My main presents were my James Avery bracelet, Victoria Secret gowns, Bombshell perfume, Amazon Kindle, A electric shaver, Apple chip for my Nike plus shoes, Baking sheets, a new robe, bath and body stuff, a shirt, a Adele Cd, Monte Carlo movie.. and a lot more that I just can't think of right now.

We were spoiled. I hope you were too. Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas.

Preparing for Santa

Twas the Night before Christmas and all through the house.
We were running around just trying to get things done...
in preparation for the long beautiful day that was to come...

One of our biggest traditions is to make a birthday cake for Jesus... I mean.. he is the reason for the season!! And my grandmother did this with us when we were little, so I figured I would carry on the tradition with Joshua.  And of course he was more than happy to help out.

His attempts at icing the cake were too funny. He just didn't get the concept, but he tried as hard as he could.

I wrote Happy Birthday Jesus and attempted to make some Holly leaves in the corner.. and then Joshua covered it all by dumping putting sprinkles all over the cake.

It was perfect!

Next up was the Reindeer food. This was given to him by his teacher at school. Apparently reindeer like to eats oaks dusted with glitter.

He had to place the bowl out on the lawn, because he said that is where the reindeer will land.

Up next was preparing for the big man himself..  Cookies and Milk!!

And off to bed... patiently waiting for Santa.
