Hot Chocolate By The Fire

Chestnuts roasting on a open fire... (with no logs)..

Ok, so when we moved into the house, there were no ceramic logs. Who would want to take those? Apparently the people who lived here before us.

So we have lived here for almost five years, and we have looked high and low. Since this is Texas, there aren't many fireplace stores, and the ones that are here sell the logs for between $500-$600. For around $400 we can buy a whole new kit at Lowe's that comes WITH the logs.  So, for this reason, we have a logless fire. But its warm and toasty on a cold night.

Tonight we decided to have hot cocoa, marshmallows and brownie trees by the fire.

We listened to Christmas music as we enjoyed the chocolate fest and talked about our day.

A good memory.
