The Breaux Wedding

Here are a few pictures from the wedding. There were like over 2000 taken.. so I just picked a few to show here.. mainly of the wedding party. I am still editing all of them and probably will be for a while.

Maranda's Bridal Pictures

The wedding is over, so now I can share these. There were a lot of really good ones, but I picked out my top 5.

I took these in Beaumont at Terrell Park. I felt so sick this day.. I didn't think it was ever going to end, but she looked so beautiful and had her hair and makeup all done. I got sick at the park.. very sick.. (Sorry to the people who walked by afterwards. I tried to be 'sick' deep in the bushes) .. either way.. I powered through and sick and all.. I love them.

Here is my beautiful cousin, Maranda.

The Comment

DING!!

The blackberry went off again.

"Who is texting you now?" John asks.

"That is not a text message, that is a email. A text message is when my phone twinkles and sounds like Tinkerbell is coming to visit," I replied trying to set him straight.

"Well whatever," he replied.

I pick up my phone expecting to see some junk mail or possibly a two for one sale at Old Navy... but no...

It was...

One of my most favorite bloggers.

"Oh my god, she knows I exist!"

"What, who?" John was confused.

"The Whispering Writer."

At this point I had to explain to him that when I first started blogging a long time ago there were three blogs that I fell in love with.

1. Quite Contrary
2. Airing my Dirty Laundry, One Sock at A Time
3. Enjoying The Small Things

They are in order of who I found first, second and last.. not my favorite, because I enjoy them all.. Although Quite Contrary is VERY pregnant right now and doesn't have as much time to blog. They are actually all my favorite and I have found many more blogs that I love, but I will never forget clicking FOLLOW on my first three.

But I was in awe... Airing my Dirty Laundry is one of my favorite. She is real. She is funny. I love her title. She is like my Angelina Jolie.. No she isn't famous or has 20 kids, but I love her work.. she is one of my superstars.

For the rest of the day.. every family member I came in contact with.. I had to tell them.. "PSSTTTT.. Guess what? My favorite blogger wrote on my blog." Most of them looked at me like I was crazy... and my Aunt didn't even know what a Blog was.

It was funny, but her one comment made my day, and I'm pretty sure she doesn't even know it.

So Thank you.. Wispering Writer.. you made my day.. and I love your blog!

Toasting Tuesdays

Because everyone needs to be able to cook more than just toast.

This week I am focusing on desserts... again. Yum!!

My Brother's girlfriend, Mandi, is the one who introduced me to these. They are super yummy! She calls them Christmas Candy.. I call them heaven.

Christmas Candy AKA Heaven

1lb. White Almond Bark
1/2-3/4 cup smooth peanut butter
2-3 cups of cheerios
1 cup dry roasted peanuts
1 cup minature marshmallows

Melt almond bark and peanut butter together in microwave. Add cheerios, peanuts and marshmellows. Stir together. Like cookie sheet with waxed paper. Drop in full tablespoons on paper. Cool till harden. Takes about 10 minutes.

If freezing place wax between layers.

and Viola.

Easy. Simple. Don't even have to turn your stove on.

The Easter Bunny Was Here

The title should actually read..

"Easter Bunny got ran over by a off duty reindeer. Santa feels bad, so he fills in."

Because yes... we are those parents.

You know.. the annoying ones who spoil their child beyond belief.

That's us.

I actually bought the Scooby Doo stuff a long time ago. Since he didn't really need it, I put it away. Hence why he got it for Easter.

So call me crazy.. I know I am.. but here is what Santa.. Ahem.. I mean.. The Bunny left.

Some of this is from Granna and Aunt Melissa.. not all is from the Bunny.. or "Peter Rabbit" as Joshua calls him.

Checking out the goods.

Playing Scooby Doo.

Bucket from Granna.

Buzz Lightyear to the rescue!

Dump Truck from Melissa.

After opening presents, Papa came in from outside and told Joshua that someone made a mess on the front lawn.

We told Joshua to grab his bucket and go see if he could help Papa with the mess.

When he saw the eggs, his face lit up and he started running towards them screaming, "Don't worry Granna, Papa, I clean this up for you."

He loves to hunt eggs.

I will go over there next!!

Another one.

I got all them eggs!

Papa and him survey the land for any more eggs.

Lilly and Olivia came over for a visit.

Cruising with Peter Rabbit.

King Snake that Joshua almost ran over.

Joshua and Peter Rabbit ride the horse.

He was playing Elmo online and decided to put this contraption on his head.. then he told us he was "Doctor Joshua."

We had a great Easter though with lots of good food, family and friends. I didn't get any pictures, but I got John a golf shirt, two DVDs and some candy. John got me a DVD, an external hard drive for my million pictures, and a case for the hard drive.. since I broke my last one. Doh!

Hope everyone had a nice and wonderful Holiday.

The Fabre Family Egg Hunt

Every year my mother's family has a huge Easter Egg Hunt. There are always three prizes.. Most Eggs, Least Egg and Prize Egg.

Joshua was so excited to see his cousins.. and even more excited to hunt eggs.

Waiting.. no so patiently.

Off he goes...

He kept telling me and John to pick the eggs up. He didn't understand why we couldn't help him. I think he spent more time yelling at us than picking up the eggs.

He was able to get 38 eggs, which qualified him for second place.. but there is no prize for second. Rainey got first place with 52 eggs. I told him.. if he would of stopped yelling at us... but oh well.. maybe next year.

It was fun though and he did not want to give any of his eggs back.

Enjoying a sucker from his cousin.

Happy Easter!

The Beautiful Eggs

It was not until after Easter last year that I realized we had forgotten to dye eggs. What a bad mother I was!!.. Actually we had just gotten so busy with work and life.

So this year... with my mother's help.. I was determined to get some eggs dyed. Thankfully my mother is a wonder grandmother and had everything waiting for us on Saturday morning.

Thanks mom!

Joshua and Granna dying eggs.

Beautiful egg colors.. although the purple turned out blue.

Right before he threw one into a cup. Yes.. it cracked.. a little.

Pretty, Pretty Eggs.

Decorated with stickers.

Leaving carrots out for the Easter Bunny... or Easter Bunnies in our case.

Ready for bed.. sleep tight.. don't let the Easter Bunny Bite!

The School Egg Hunt

This is what Joshua had been waiting for all week.. the Easter egg hunt.

His bucket had been sitting there all week.. and I had fought him all week not to bring his bucket to school.

But.. today was the day... the hunt was on..

Waiting with Savannah and Abigail.. or as he calls her "Babigail."

I got it mom!!!

Here are three more mom!

There are no more left...

I got all the eggs, Mom!

After this.. he threw a fit because I had to leave him as I went on to work.

Later that afternoon, we hunted eggs at home until it was so dark we couldn't see outside. He made me hide the eggs as he peaked out from behind the back door.

He hid the eggs one time... and forgot where he had put some of them.. it was quite funny.

We cannot wait until Easter morning and the big egg hunt!

The Siggy's

Cleaning out my computer and found these from Joshua first year of life up to about a year and half. I don't know why I stopped getting them made, but it's been a while since I have done anything with his pictures. I really need to get to scrapbooking.. I am so far behind!!

Anyways, just wanted to share. Some of these were made by me, but most of them were made by friends... or friends of friends.
