The Not So Apologetic Apology

"Mom, we need to talk about this?"

I tried to hide my giggles beneath the pain he just inflicted upon my back.

"Talk about what?"

With a serious look on his face, he says, "You told my Daddy on me, and I'm not happy, we just need to talk about it."

"Talk about what?"

"HUMPF, we just need to talk about it!"

I got down to his eye level... "What do you want to talk about?"

He turns and stops off, "I can't talk to you, your mean!"

OK. Thanks!

*This was after he jumped on my back. I was laying on the couch and somehow I managed to not feel him crawl on top of the sofa, and the next think I knew, he was cannonballing into my back. It hurt bad. I couldn't discipline him, so I asked his daddy to take care of it while I went to take a hot shower to relax my back. His daddy told him to come apologize to me... and that was what I got. Some Apology.

  1. Ok, so how do I say this? Thats hilarious! Not the fact that your back suffered but the fact that your now on his traitor list!! HAHA!

  2. Hahaha! I agree, that is hilarious! Joshua is talking so much!! Ellie talks a lot, but not a whole complete conversation like that.

  3. Yes I was a traitor.. but you know how that goes.. a hour later only Mama could read to him and tuck him into bed. lol...

She will get there Robin. I contribute Joshua's vocabulary to his school. He goes to a great preschool. Although... the other day he came home and told us to "shut up." We NEVER say that.. so he picks up bad habbits from school too. =) Now... if only he would potty train...
