Breakfast with Santa

This is a new tradition that John and I have started for our family, and it's one that is very dear to our heart because we get to spend all the time with Santa that we want.

Every year, the Kemah Aquarium hosts a breakfast with Santa, and every year, the same Santa is there. Joshua thinks this is the 'real' Santa... and of course he is!!  He is also the Santa that visits at his school.

But, because this is a private breakfast and there are only a limited number of seats, you can spend as much time with Santa as you want. Also Santa will come sit with you at your table if you invite him to. He came to sit with us last year, but this year Joshua was acting like he was shy.  So we went to Santa's chair where he spend some time on his lap. He told Santa he wanted a Garbage truck and a train table.

     My favorite picture.

Then it was time to eat breakfast. They have everything you could dream of..... eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits with gravy, pancakes, cereal, fruit, danishes.. plus a omelet bar.

Joshua's favorite as usual.. pancakes.   He was also very into bacon, which is weird for him, but we went with it.  And of course... the fruit plate. We all love fruit!

Then Santa went swimming with the fish. This was amazing to Joshua. He stood there for almost 30 minutes just staring at him and the fish.. like he was in a trance.

We had a great time this year and Joshua seemed to enjoy himself. I am so glad that John got to be there because we were afraid he would be working. It was a really nice just to spend time together as a family.. just the three of us. Not that I don't love my family, because I do!!! This was just special for us.

I can't wait until next year!
