The Favorite Song

What is my favorite song you ask?

I don't really know if I have a all time favorite.. I have lots of songs I really love though because they have meaning.

"Like I Am" by Rascal Flatts was the song we danced to at our wedding.

"Stay" by Sugarland was Joshua's favorite song when he was in my belly.

"One" by Creed is the song I walked down the isle to after graduation.

"Possum Kingdom" by The Toadies could be heard blasting from my Jeep in high school.

"Without You" by Dixie Chicks reminds me of my first love I lost.

"Gold Digger" by Kanye West reminds me of my old mustang.. cruising the streets when I lived in Florida.

"If Everyone Cared" by Nickelback reminds me of summer nights in Oklahoma.. camping out.

"Small Town USA" by Justin Moore of course reminds me of Winnie, where I grew up.

"You Save Me" by Kenny Chesney reminds me of my husband.. He is the firecracker though.

"I Saw God Today" by George Strait was playing on the way to the hospital the day Joshua was born.

I could go on and on... most of my favorite music will be country.. but I love it all. I show favoritism, but not prejudice. OK.. maybe against gangsta rap.. because well.. I just don't roll like that.

Of course.. my favorite song at this exact moment is "Bringing Home My Baby Bumblebee," because Joshua is learning to sing it in school... and because it so cute to hear him sing from the back seat.. "won't my mama be so proud of me!!"

And I am.

  1. Isn't it funny how certain songs can bring back certain moments in time?! When I ask myself the same question I cannot even make a list...once my girls got old enough to listen to music I no longer had an opinion. If I hear Taylor Swift or Justin Beiber one more time I might....well, I will just leave it at that. Hahaha!!!
